molsbabyshower

My best friend and sorority daughter Molly B. had a baby shower for her twin boys last weekend. It was a lovely little shower with many of our sorority sisters in attendance. It was so nice to celebrate and shower these two little boys, Luke and Will, before they make their GRAND entrance into the world in early January. At this point, the boys are both over two pounds and Molly is doing great keeping em’ cooking. Seriously, Mol. I’m so proud of you.

Molly had a huge health scare last year when they found a rare tumor on her pancreas. She went to Mayo Clinic and had half of her pancreas removed as well as her spleen. The recovery was difficult and she wasn’t sure if her body would allow her to get pregnant. After a diagnosis of PCOS, she was given clomid and got pregnant with twins the first month! WOOT! I couldn’t be happier for her. We have been friends for eleven years. I think within the first week of our friendship she was telling me about her dream to be a mom. And now, that dream is finally becoming a reality. *tears*

I was surprised to see my friend and sorority sister Melissa at the shower. She drove four hours to be there! I ended up going over to Molly’s house and hanging out with both Mol and Meliss until the wee hours of the mornin’. It was just like old times. Well, except for the fact that we hung out with Molly’s husband while she went to bed because she’s pregnant with twins. Yeah, that’s a little different than the frat parties we attended in a disgusting garage many moons ago.

Don’t ask me what we were doing. I hadn’t drank in 15 months so one glass of wine put me over the edge. Okay, okay, it was three glasses. Love you, Meliss (p.s. please start a blog of your three cute kids already!).
