Fall Family Photo Shoot!

We had a fall family photo shoot with Darbi G. for the third time this year. And just as I suspected, Landon made it very difficult to get any photos where we are all looking at the camera. He would take off running through the park, tossing his beautiful new boots off in the process, throwing tantrums and being completely uncooperative. I don’t know why he does this. He is pleased as punch to ham it up for the camera at home. It’s like he can sense that I just spent bookoo bucks on professional photography and he behaves like a devil-child just to spite my obsession with photojournalism.

But like always, Darbi somehow managed to make Landon look well-behaved. It even looks like he is having fun in some of these. Trust me. He was not. Although the only way we could get photos of both boys was to let Landon drop leaves on his brother’s head. He seemed to enjoy this part the most. No matter though. Because I am in LOVE with our photos.

The photos are practically dripping in the pure fire of fall. They make my skin warm just looking at them. We’ve never had photos taken during the fall season and I am so glad we opted for early November right as the sun was setting across the horizon. I couldn’t choose just one to show you. There are just too many. I might spontaneously combust from the amazing-ness of them. And yes, people. I’m almost 32 and I still rocked the jeggings.

And just so you know, the spinning photo might look like perfection. But it turned out to be a really bad idea. He took off running and I grabbed him and started spinning him so he wouldn’t run away. Two minutes later, Landon puked up orange goldfish crackers and milk onto his new sweater. I just wanted you to know that our family is, in fact, real. It doesn’t get more real than orange barf. The photo shoot abruptly ended after that.

Any faves from your end? I can’t wait to blow a few up to put on our walls!
