Last Friday I took part in a fun “picnic” courtesy of Wendy’s. A few Kansas City bloggers and our families were invited to try the new Berry Almond Chicken Salad!
They were all – do you wanna?
and I was all – um, free food from Wendy’s? Sign me up!
Wendy’s sent me a super cute picnic basket filled with goodies for the kiddos and told us to meet up for lunch the next day.
I was both nervous and excited to meet some of my fellow Kansas City bloggers. Especially after checking out their blogs. I realized I can learn a lot from these gals! By the way, a new KC Blog group has been created. If you live in/near Kansas City and are a blogger please contact me so I can invite you to be a part of it.

The new berry almond chicken salad has strawberries and blueberries in it! I was a bit skeptical of the first bite because I don’t usually care for mixing sweet foods into lunch and dinner foods but I was pleasantly surprised!
Landon was super excited about this new salad because blueberries are his fave food. I’m not kidding. Sometimes I wonder if he will turn into a blueberry because he eats them so often.
And Brigham chowed down on their yummy chicken nuggets and fruit bowl. I think he enjoyed the day. What do you think?
Naaman was even able to join us as he was off work that day! Look how serious he is about his meal. Men, lol.
