green

I’m still struggling with what to say and how to say it.

So I’m writing what I want and what I know and if someone wants to read and comment, well then, that’s cool.

The world is reawakening. I don’t want to miss it. Spring has arrived and everything is new and green.

I’ve been outside enjoying it.

My boys have too. I am showing them the new and the green. How glorious are the secrets they keep during winter.

Then they open up and whisper to us and we wonder how the earth was ever barren for an entire season.

There are people who love winter. A fresh inch or two of snow.

But not me.

No, my spirit thrives on new buds and birds singing and bunnies hopping. I watch and listen for all these things.

I am so grateful for their return.

So you’ll have to excuse me for less words. For there is more earth to discover.

True discovery cannot be done behind a computer screen.

It’s green outside. I want to be there.

  2. I am so much happier on the days it is sunny. The winter tends to stay around here (Seattle) until July, so the days we do have sun, even if it is 45 degrees, are treasured.

Being Canadian, I thrived during the winter season.
    I hate it now.
Spring? The sun? The mood. The feeling.
    It’s needed.
In fact I fell asleep in my yard yesterday and burnt the hell out of my face. It’s so tight that I’m afraid that if I smile, my skin will crack ;)

I like spring, but I don’t love it as much as summer. I LOVE being able to bask in the sun and get so hot you have to jump into the pool to cool off. (Not that I have much time to {bask} while chasing around two toddlers who don’t exactly know how to swim yet, but hey, a girl can dream, right?)

    Cute pedicure! :)
