Things have been pretty lazy and laid back lately. It feels weird to wake up and have nowhere to go. I am so used to the grind of working. Hopping out of bed and staying in pajamas is strange. There have been a few mornings I wake up and forget I don’t work anymore. It takes me a minute to realize I’m free from a tight schedule. If I’m being honest, sometimes I feel happy about it and sometimes I feel sad. I’m just worried about the future but I’m trying to focus on the positive. More time with my boys! So here’s what we’ve been up to lately.
Lazy mornings complete with extended jammie-wearing, relaxed breakfasts together, playing all morning and lots and lots of coffee with bedhead.
Trips to the park. We don’t stay for long because it’s too hot. But it really wears the boys out for nap time!
Swimming. Lots of it. We’re extra lucky that my parents have a pool. The boys are fish! They swim for hours!
Keeping busy with puppet shows, library story time, bounce house and local events.
The pace of my life has truly changed. I know I need to use this time to the fullest and try to enjoy the extra days with my boys. Because in a few months I will be back to waking up and having to wear something other than yoga pants.
