You may think it’s just another Thursday on the old blog. But it’s not. Why not? Because I’ve got an Oreck AirInstinct 200 air purifier to give away to one lucky reader!
I was so excited when Oreck contacted me and wanted us to try their newest air purifier. The first time I really started to think about what was in the air was when we moved.
We had so much trouble with Brigham during his first year. Wheezing, coughing, sneezing. We had no idea what was wrong but one doctor even suggested reactive airway disease!
But the strangest thing happened when we moved from our old home to our new home. He no longer wheezed, coughed or sneezed at all and began sleeping through the night for the first time ever. Now we know that there must have been something in the air at our old house.
So I have been really in tune with keeping the air inside our new house as non-toxic as possible. The Oreck AirInstinct 200 helps me feel like I’m doing that.
My favorite thing about it, besides the fact that it is so white and pretty, is the turn it on and walk away™ technology. It has a “monitoring” mode, which takes the guess work out of the settings. It continually checks the air and adjusts the speed accordingly. Um, hello. Busy moms rejoice at not having to do anymore work!
Even if I think the air smells great we really have no way of knowing what is floating around. The AirInstinct keeps me at ease knowing that my kids are breathing clean air.

This is a pretty cool air purifier! I saw on their website that it adjusts according to the particles in the air – love that! Don’t have to worry about changing the settings.

I like the fact that the colors change. It is nice to know from a distance how hard the purifier is working so we can adjust windows accordingly if it is a really bad air day.

I love that it was designed with Child Safety features! And I really like that it changes colors so you know what it’s working on! My husband and I both have asthma and our little guy does too. We have another one on the way which has a 0% chance of not having asthma since we both do…so this would be awesome in our house!!!

I really like how the AirInstinct continuously checks particles in the air passing through its sensor and adjusts its air flow speed accordingly! That’s amazing and like nothing I’ve ever seen or used before. An AirInstinct would be a perfect addition to our home with a new baby arriving in about 8 weeks! What an awesome looking purifier with GREAT reviews…

I learned that it has a safety shut off if the front panel is removed…important with my curious little guys!
Whisper quiet, I expected. The fact that you can wash it and never buy another filter? That is amazing. We are currently wondering whether Tristan has asthma or allergies. To know that we are doing everything we can to keep the air in his room clean? I would certainly sleep a lot better at night both emotionally and literally, I wake every time he coughs.
