Day 7 -
Weight: 123 lbs
Confession – I haven’t been using hand weights like I was supposed to until Day 7. I just hadn’t had a chance to get the store to buy some so I was using cans of veggies. But now I’m using 3 lb hand weights and boy, could I feel the difference! Much harder and I was sweating a lot more. One thing is for sure – my arms are definitely going to be more toned at the end of this. I can feel it.
I can tell my endurance is up. The bicycle crunches at the end (which suck) are not as hard for me to do. They still hurt but I’m better at it. I guess that’s what happens when you do the same workout seven days in a row.
So I’ve made it a whole week and will continue doing level 1 for three more days.
If you’re keeping track you can see my weight fluctuates between 121 – 123 lbs. Naaman says this is normal. I weigh myself each morning before I eat or drink anything. If I weigh myself at night I always weigh more. Probably due to what I’ve eaten all day. I ate terrible yesterday and really paid for it with horrible indigestion and a rise on the scale. I never used to get heartburn and indigestion. But I get them both now. I guess that’s what getting older is all about. Your body starts changing.
I have finally realized that living healthy is hard work. But as my sister and I were talking, it’s almost more of a mental challenge than a physical challenge. Not only does Naaman have physical strength but he also has great mental strength. And I think that’s what I’m lacking. I have to work on that to lead a healthier lifestyle. I am all for cutting yourself a break ever once in awhile. Like on Thanksgiving, ahem. But eating two helping of everything at every meal? Not so much.
We’re rolling on to my second week!
